Fall is just around the corner... Warm Pumpkin Bread is calling...

Harvest Pumpkin Bread- Warm, moist, soft, just out of the oven & paired with a Chai Tea Latte... I don't know if things can get much better!

But now that I think of it, I am not sure which is better... The heavenly aromas filling the air with scents of nutmeg and pumpkin spice as you wait for the oven timer OR taking that first bite and tasting the wonderful flavor of this pumpkin bread.

It is a tried and true recipe to really kick off that Fall feeling in the air. Is anyone else excited for the change of Season? I sure am. I think at every Season change I say, ok, this one is my favorite. But really, I guess I am always ready for a change of weather and all the wonderful things that come with each Season.

Harvest Pumpkin Bread

Preheat oven to 350 degrees & grease bread pan.

  • 1½ cup bread flour, (whole wheat for a healthier option)

  • 2 t. cinnamon

  • 1/2 t. nutmeg

  • 1/2 t. allspice

  • 2 t. baking powder

  • 1/2 t. baking soda

  • 1/2 t. salt

  • 1 cup pumpkin puree

  • 1/2 c buttermilk

  • 1/2 - 3/4 cup sugar (adjust sweetness to taste)

  • 1/4 c canola oil

  • 2 eggs

  • 1 t. vanilla

Directions:

  1. Whisk all dry ingredients together. (First 7 ingredients).

  2. In another bowl, whisk wet ingredients together. (Last 6 ingredients).

  3. Pour wet ingredients over dry ingredients and stir just until combined. Pour into prepared pan.

  4. Bake 40-50 minutes at 350 degrees or until toothpick comes out clean. Don't overbake or you won't get the moist yumminess.
