Spring is Around the Corner: Time to Start Planting

The official first day of Spring is next Friday, March 20th — and it also happens to be our Spring Event! Countdown: 7 days!

There’s something about this time of year that gets us excited to start planting. The days are getting longer, the air feels a little softer, and it finally feels like garden season is right around the corner.

Our greenhouse is full of fresh plants and ready for the season ahead. From early spring color to beautiful greenery for your beds and planters, it’s such a fun time to start dreaming about what your yard and garden will look like in the months ahead.

And here’s something many may not know — now is actually an excellent time to plant. Getting plants into the ground early gives them time to settle in and establish strong roots before the heat of summer arrives. That extra time rooting in makes a big difference and helps plants thrive once those hot summer days hit.

Even adding just a few new plants to a flowerbed, refreshing a front porch planter, or tucking something new into the garden can make everything feel fresh again. This weekend at Market North is a great time to stop by the greenhouse and see what’s new.

Here is something you may not know about us... We love to bring in perennials in smaller, more affordable size pots (4" and quart), because we want you to be able to have the garden you dream of... Even on a smaller budget. Come check out our selection!
