Have you been thinking you're ready for a change in your home?

Updated: Dec 15, 2020

After remodeling our home in 2015, I was ready for things to feel organized, clean and well somewhat bare.... We had spent the last 5 months living in a very small space (part of our shop made into an apartment). I wanted to stretch out and have NO cluttered surfaces. I ended up having every wall in my house painted the same color, (SW repose gray). It turned out beautiful and I couldn't have been happier with it. I wish I would have taken a before picture but here is the color sample of what it was.

Now let's fast forward 4.5 years, Jan. 2020. I was feeling ready for a change. Something more bold... Something a little warmer... Something a little cozier... So I started poring over paint chips. I went back and forth and here is what I ended up with...

What do you think? Did I accomplish my goal? More bold? Warmer? Cozier? I sure like the results. My only worry is that it will feel too dark during the cloudy winter days... Although I did make it through part and January and all of February. Don't hate it yet!

Are you ready for a change in your home? Maybe you are ready to freshen and lighten up your master bedroom. Maybe you need a cozier, more inviting living room. Maybe you want a warmer kitchen. Take a trip to the paint store! Bring home loads of paint chips. Narrow it down and then invite a few friends (only ones with good taste tho') over for coffee and get a few more opinions. I have a sister in law that I like to run things by. She has excellent taste and a lot of times it is all I need to make my final decision, (hi, Britni).

OR (if you are a local Tri-citian)... maybe you want a little outside help. Maybe you would love someone to come into your home and bring YOU those paint chips and EVEN bring you the coffee. And then help you decide what colors to paint. She also has some experience in doing the messy job herself OR if its a lot of painting you want done, she has some great recommendations for a few local painters.
